Wendy’s speaking resumé is extensive, reflecting both her motivational speaking and her career engagements as the National Spokeswoman Genworth Financial’s Long Term Care Division. For three decades, she has spoken before a diverse group of people, ranging from politicians, CEO’s and scholars to fellow athletes and children.
Wendy has served on various speaker’s bureaus and has functioned as a spokesperson for numerous organizations. She continues to be an involved member of both the International Olympic Committee and U.S. Olympic Committees’ Alumni Associations and is often interviewed in the national media (including ABC News, NBC’s Dateline, and most recently for a BBC documentary).
In 1997 Wendy switched gears to concentrate on a career in the Long Term Care Insurance field. Once again displaying her dedication and drive to succeed, she quickly reached the pinnacle as one of the nation’s finest Regional Product Specialists with Genworth Financial. Realizing that her years of motivational speaking and extensive contacts could assist her in developing a unique perspective on Long Term Care education, Wendy’s initiative, In the Arms of Women, was the first of its kind to educate women clients on their distinctive needs. Her current role as National Spokeswoman for Genworth Financial’s Long Term Care Division sees her travel across the country weekly, giving large numbers of lectures on the importance of understanding physical and financial fitness to a broader audience, reminding us all that successful aging takes both brains and brawn.
Wendy has received numerous accolades for her community service and achievements. In 2004, Wendy received an honorary degree as a Distinguished Alumna of Monmouth University (Long Branch, NJ) for her extensive work and dedication to various organizations and her unrelenting will to succeed.
